An individual may file an incident report at any time for any incident which occured inside the City of Woodstock.
Individuals who need to file an incident report may:
- Emergency / In-Progress Incidents

Under normal circumstances, an incident report will be ready for pick-up five (5) business days from the date the report was filed.
We recommend filing a report on scene due to the nature of motor vehicle collisions. If you exchanged information at the scene, both drivers and vehicles will need to be present to file a report after the incident.
A copy of a report can be obtained through the City of Woodstock Police Department Records Division. This division maintains and distributes all records of the City of Woodstock Police Department.

Under normal circumstances the following time frames apply:
- Closed Incident Report
Five business days from the date of incident
- Closed Motor Vehicle Collision Report
Five business days from the date of incident
In order for the Records Department staff to be able to readily assist you in obtaining your police report please assist us with the following:
- Allow time for your report to be completed by the investigating officer,
- Call to ensure your report is ready: 770-592-6030.
- Bring or know your incident number,
- Be aware there is a nominal fee for copies of all police reports.
- No checks will be accepted.
